As a 3D rendering software, Lumion requires an up-to-date Windows 10 64-bit or newer computer with a fast graphics card, ample memory, and stable internet connection. Please make sure to check our system requirements before requesting a trial to ensure you have the best experience.

Using Lumion on Macs is not officially supported, but it is possible to run Lumion on a Mac. To find out if it will work, please double-check that you have the following:
1. A relatively new Mac computer with a fast graphics card.
2. A Windows 10 license.
3. At least 100 GB free hard drive space for Windows 10 & Lumion.
4. Apple’s Bootcamp software for installing Windows 10.
5. The latest driver software for the graphics card.

Lumion is compatible with all major CAD and 3D modeling software. Here's a complete overview. [Enternal Link]
Plus, with the free Lumion LiveSync plug-in, you can also create a real-time connection with your favorite CAD software that allows you to model and render at the same time and drive faster design decisions. This means that whenever you make changes to your 3D model, they will seamlessly be reflected in Lumion.
Lumion LiveSync is available for Sketchup, Revit, Archicad, Rhino, AutoCAD, Allplan, BricsCAD, Vectorworks, and many more.
As a student, you can take advantage of a free Lumion Pro Student license for one full year. You can easily renew it as long as you are a student. You are required to submit your student details via a service called SheerID to confirm your identity and student status.
Once confirmed, you'll automatically receive an email with simple instructions to download Lumion.

Please note projects created with the Lumion trial cannot be opened in the Lumion Student version.
With every new version of Lumion you can get another free 14-day trial. This includes both major and minor version updates. However, you won’t be able to install the same version of the free trial more than once on the same computer.
To open and edit projects created with the free trial, you’ll need to upgrade your trial license key to a Lumion Subscription.
Alternatively, if you install the commercial version on the same computer as the trial file was saved on, you’ll be able to continue working on your Lumion project.
Projects created with the Lumion trial cannot be opened in the Lumion Student version.

You can install the same trial license key on multiple computers, however you won't be able to run the Lumion trial on more than one computer at a given time.
